Tirolean evening with the Gundolf Family

We have a special cultural highlight lined up for you! Since 1967, the Gundolf family has delighted visitors with their Tyrolean Evenings, showcasing traditional Tyrolean music and dances. This show is full of fun surprises!

We’ll see men in lederhosen performing slap dances, hear the mellow tones of the alpine horn, and even watch someone make music with a bow and saw. This will be an evening to remember and you’ll be clapping your hands and yodelling along in no time!

Boat trip across Lake Achen

Together, we will enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across Lake Achen.

Innsbruck Day Trip

We will spend one afternoon in Innsbruck – a city filled with gorgeous architecture from medieval to Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. Together, we’ll explore this charming city nestled in the Austrian Alps, where close-up mountain views greet us from all sides.

We’ll enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Imperial Palace, which was completed during the reign of Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I – an important historical figure and member of the House of Habsburg. Set against a mountain backdrop, the palace now houses a world-class museum that takes us back to the opulant 18th century Habsburg dynasty.

Just across the street lies the stunning Hofkirche, which you might remember from our Innsbruck travel vlog in Episode 146. This church was built in honour of Maximilian I. At its center stands a magnificent cenotaph (an empty tomb) adorned with intricate latticework and surrounded by 28 larger-than-life bronze statues. This church is truly unique.
